ME!

Well to start off my first blog I thought I would tell you guys a little about me. My name is Daniel and I just turned twenty two years old on January 13. I am from Snow Hill Maryland, which is a tiny farm town on the eastern shore. I am a senior here at UNCW and have loved it so much I do not want to ever leave.

You may ask how I ended up down here from MD. Well it is because I play on the baseball team here. I was recruited to come play here and I just could not say no after visiting. I am a pitcher and I love it, the thrill of getting to play at the college level is a great experience. It does keep me very busy but I would not have it any other way. I would encourage anybody that wants to come out and watch us play, we as players love to see the stands filled up.

Moving on I want to tell you a little about my family. There are my parents Jeff and Megan, then my sister Sarah who just recently moved down here to Wilmington to attend Cape Fear Community College. She wants to Transfer into UNCW next semester. We have a jack russell terrier named Toby and a fish pond in my backyard full of fish. Overall I think my family is great and I love them very much, but I might be biased. HA

As far as my goals in life I have always wanted to take my baseball career as far as I could. I even was fortunate to have been drafted last year by the Washington Nationals. It was a great honor but I wanted to come back and finish my degree. I think of myself as a down to earth person and I realize that by having a degree I can do anything I want. My ultimate goal however would be to play baseball as long as possible then host a sports talk show about local high school and college sports.

In the end that is a little bit about me. I hope to talk to you all soon.
