I am writing this as I am sitting in a hotel room in Harrisburg VA preparing to take on James Madison University. We play them tomorrow night(Friday) at 6:30. Then again Saturday and Sunday before returning home to Wilmington. I am glad to be on the road but it does keep us busy and running all over the east coast all the time.
Now to update you on our progress. Well when we left off I think we were about to play George Mason. Well that weekend went ok we took one out of three games and ended up 3-3 in conference. That week we played Campbell University at home and beat them in a close game before we headed to Dealware this past weekend. We made the nine hour bus ride to Delaware and built off our win to campbell. We played really well Friday and Saturday winning with no doubt about it. Then on Sunday we came out Flat and had to battle to win in extras. This week we welcomed Charleston Southern to our field then sent them home with a loss. The next day we played NC State one of our big rivals and I am so glad to say that for the first time since 1998 we beat them in Raliegh and it was great.
I have really enjoyed telling you guys about our season hopefully we will see you out there before school is over and maybe even after to cheer us on.

Another update
So last I left off we had just beat Elon and were preparing for Rhode Island to head to Wilmington. Let me just say that the good run we had came to an end versus them. We dropped two of three games against them and play very bad. We made eleven errors in three games. It was so unbelievable to watch us play so bad.
After a rough weekend we had a full week off with no mid week games. This is rare in college baseball but it just worked out that way for that week. So that whole week we practiced and worked on defense getting ready to open up conference play against Towson. We started off right were we left off last weekend dropping the Friday game 7-2 and looking ugly doing it. We had a long talk about how we need to pick it up as a team and that is just what we did. We beat them on Saturday and Sunday very convincingly.
Then just last night we played at our rival ECU in Greenville. Talk about an adventure. We started the game scoring two quick runs. I was the starting pitcher and came out throwing well getting two strikeouts in the first. We then proceeded to go up 8 to 1 over the next two innings. Then I got injured and hurt my back, do not worry it is not serious, but I had to come out of the game. Then it got ridiculous, the umpires were terrible and it lead to a war of them throwing at our guys then us throwing at them. Then the dugouts cleared a brawl was on the verge of starting. I do not think I have heard more yelling anywhere in my life. The staduim of about 3000 sounded like thirty thousand it was incredible. After all this happened and the dust settle they had chipped away and were now winning 10-8. Although we were not going down without a fight. We scored two more to tie it up then they scored two more. Finally we busted it open and scored 5 runs in the eighth inning and went ahead 15-12. Winning eventually by a final of 15-13. It was an awesome game that I must say has affected my current voice from all the yelling we did.
This weekend we are back to conference play against George Mason. If anyone is still in town please come out and watch I promise it will be good.
