On The Road!

So here we gomy third installment of blogging in this class. I will continue with my baseball updates for you guys.

I am currently packing my clothes for the long weekend trip to Jacksonville FL. To take on the University of Jacksonville Dolphins. I can not wait to get on the road down there and play somebody. I am so sick of have having to play my own teammates I am ready to have someone else in another uinform to play against.

We will arrive Thursday night. Wake up on Friday with our first game of the new season at 4 oclock. Then Saturday we will wake up and play at 1 and Sunday at 1 also. I have told that I am starting the Sunday game this weekend. I am so excited to play that I do not know if I will be able to sleep tomorrow night.

Our coaches re ready to go and so are we. I just can not wait to start because before you know it, it is over. Well I need to keep packing and get ready for the trip but I hope that you all come out to watch us at our home opener next Friday. It would be great to see you guys.

  1. Good luck this weekend! I've only been to two UNCW baseball games, but they were pretty exciting. I usually can't go though because I work at the StarNews and they send someone (usually Chuck Carree--if you don't already know him, you will by the end of the season) to cover the games.

Chuck has a nice blog about the baseball team on the StarNews website. This past week he compared UNCW coach Mark Scalf to the Jacksonville coach Terry Alexander. It's a good read.

  2. Down here in Jacksonville watching you guys play. Can't wait to see you start tomorrow and wear my #22 shirt! It should say "Cropper's Girl" on the back :) Good luck and can't wait to watch the rest of the season!

  3. First game is always the best. Haven’t looked up stats from this weekend but hope it was fun for you man. The only thing I miss about high school was playing sports, but seems like you’re living the dream down here playing baseball and going to school. Good luck with the rest of the season!

  4. Good luck!
The first game is always so highly anticipated and fun, the first time everyone can show off all the hard work of pre season. Playing your teammates gets so old, they are predictable and not entertaining by any means. Keep up the hard work and I look forward to hearing more updates!

  5. Good luck to you!! I'm really sad because I have not been to a baseball game at UNCCW. I plan on making that happen. I have been in several classes with baseball players and I have heard from them the progress that the baseball program has made over the years.I know you will do well. Congrats on starting!
